With their head office based in Richmond, you will be joining a collaborative, professional and close-knit team who genuinely value the contribution of their people.

About the Role

This is a full-time, in-office Office Manager position based in Richmond. The office is walking distance to Richmond Station and surrounded by shops and cafés, making this not only a fantastic career opportunity but a lifestyle one as well.

You will play a key role in keeping the office and business moving. With one direct report, you will support the Business Unit Directors and provide broad support across administration, projects, HR, finance, IT, marketing and office operations. No two days will be the same, and this is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys being the go-to person in a busy, high-performing environment.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Lead fee proposals, project set-ups and close-outs, and maintain strong governance across Synergy and project documentation
  • Provide high-level operational support to Directors and ensure the smooth running of the business
  • Oversee HR administration including onboarding, leave and attendance, recruitment coordination and staff training
  • Manage office operations, facilities, supplier relationships, access control and reception oversight
  • Support marketing and communications including social media, website updates, capability materials and presentations
  • Contribute to ISO 9001 processes, monthly client feedback and external audit preparation
  • Plan and deliver internal events, staff functions and social activities
  • Maintain strong internal communication and coordination across teams, ensuring information flows efficiently
What Are We Looking For?
To be successful, your CV will show:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior administrative or Office Manager role
  • Strong organisational skills and confidence managing competing priorities
  • Maturity, professionalism and excellent communication skills
  • Experience supervising or leading at least one direct report
  • Background in engineering, construction or property (highly regarded)
  • Strong systems capability, ideally with Synergy, Xero, Squarespace or Canva
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
The Rewards and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of $95,000 (negotiable) plus superannuation and the opportunity to work in a well-established engineering firm with a consistent project pipeline.

You will have a role that provides genuine variety, broad exposure across the business, and the ability to take ownership of key operational functions. The organisation is stable, professionally run, and structured in a way that allows you to work closely with Directors and contribute meaningfully to day-to-day operations.

The Richmond location provides excellent access to public transport, with cafés, shops and amenities on the doorstep, making the commute and daily routine straightforward and convenient.
