Description
We are looking for a Senior People & Culture Business Partner to take on a key role across Australia and New Zealand. This is a hands-on, senior position where you will work closely with leaders to shape people strategies, support growth, and help build capability across the business.The organisation operates in the chemical and gas sector, supplying products that keep industry moving and services that protect the environment. While the setting is industrial, the culture is professional and supportive, with high standards and a strong track record of looking after its people. Staff turnover is exceptionally low, with many employees enjoying long tenures with the business.
The Role
Reporting to the APAC Director of People & Culture, you will manage day-to-day HR operations across Australia and New Zealand. This is a hands-on role focused on providing guidance, coaching, and support to leaders, while ensuring people initiatives align with business goals. The emphasis is on operational delivery, problem solving, and helping leaders manage their teams effectively.
Key areas of focus include:
- Partnering with senior leaders as a trusted advisor
- Workforce planning, organisational design, and capability development
- Talent and succession initiatives to build career pathways and leadership growth
- Managing employee relations matters with fairness and compliance
- Supporting performance management and feedback culture
- Delivering learning programs and workshops
- Overseeing HR operations and driving process improvements
About You
You are an experienced HR generalist with senior-level partnering exposure, ideally gained in industrial, manufacturing, or related sectors. You bring strong expertise in talent management, employee relations, and leadership coaching, along with commercial acumen and the ability to influence outcomes.
You will be confident working with senior leaders, comfortable switching between hands-on delivery and influencing at a strategic level, and motivated by the chance to make a real impact across a region. In addition, you will be skilled at assessing training needs, designing targeted learning solutions, and facilitating workshops in areas such as leadership, performance, and compliance.

- Salary circa $150,000 - $160,000 FTE + superannuation (pro-rated for part-time 4 days per week)
