The Company:
Our client is a prominent manufacturer of high-quality commercial-grade doors and frames, boasting a successful trading history spanning over 30 years.
  
With factories located in Lilydale and Campbellfield, they produce and distribute a wide range of products, including fire-rated swing and slider doors, acoustic and escape doors, as well as routed, solid, or semi-solid doors. Frames are manufactured in both timber and pressed metal.
  
Clients consist exclusively of Tier 1,2 & some Tier 3 builders who work across a wide range of commercial building types, no residential projects. 
  
Location: Campbellfield

Salary Package on Offer:
Total remuneration package of approx. $150,000 which consists of base salary + fully maintained vehicle + incentives + superannuation. 

The Role:
The primary responsibility of the Production Manager is to oversee and manage the production operations for timber products.  This role involves supervising a diverse team of tradespeople and labourers, ensuring the efficient and timely manufacture of high-quality doors and related timber products.
  
The Production Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining production schedules, ensuring safety and compliance standards, and optimising processes to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness. Strong leadership, organisational skills, and technical knowledge are essential for this position to effectively manage resources, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  

What Are We Looking For?
In order to be successful in this role, you will require:
  
  • Qualifications in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field or a trade qualifications in timber joinery would be highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a production management role within the timber or construction industry.
  • Hands-on experience with timber production, including the use of tools and CNC machinery.
  • Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, quality control and IT skills
