ABOUT THE COMPANYOur client delivers building maintenance, warehouse and commercial cleaning, office fitouts and supply chain support to clients in the warehousing, logistics and FMCG sectors. Most of their work is based in Melbourne’s western suburbs, particularly around Derrimut and Laverton.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This full-time position is based at a client site—a 6,000 sqm warehouse facility in Derrimut. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of commercial cleaning, waste management and facility maintenance services for this client, leading a team of 8–10 full-time cleaning staff along with additional casuals as needed.
Reporting directly to the Company Director, this is a hands-on role where you’ll lead by example, support your team, and maintain a strong working relationship with the client. The ability to adapt to the site’s operational needs and communicate clearly will be essential to delivering a consistently high standard of service.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re seeking someone with at least two years’ experience in a supervisory or team leader role, ideally from cleaning, warehousing, transport, hospitality or a similar sector.
You’ll need to be someone who’s willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in when needed—not just supervise from the sidelines.
Other key qualities include:
- Clear and confident communication—especially around service inclusions, variations, and billing
- Strong people skills and the ability to manage and motivate staff from diverse backgrounds
- A natural ability to build rapport with clients and team members alike
WHAT’S ON OFFER
This role offers a steady, full-time position with a well-established company that values hard work, reliability and open communication. You'll be joining a supportive leadership team who are easy to work with and genuinely want you to succeed in your role.
In addition to a salary of $80,000 to $82,000 + super, you'll also have access to:
- A company phone for business and reasonable personal use
- Ongoing training and support
- Career advancement opportunities as the business continues to grow
- Quality equipment and systems that make it easier to get the job done well
- Ability to supplement your income with optional weekend work, with additional hours paid accordingly
