Fleet Controller

Our client is a privately owned cold storage, blast freezing and refrigerated transport business, operating from a state-of-the-art depot based in Truganina / Hoppers Crossing.

Did you know that the cold storage and food transport industry is one of Australian busiest and most buoyant sectors at present?!

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and organised Fleet Controller to plan, schedule and coordinate drivers and truck fleet, locally and interstate.  

This is a small to medium sized business with 17 refrigerated trucks that transport goods across Melbourne metro, country Victoria and between Melbourne and Sydney.

Clients include Coles Supermarkets, Woolworths, Heinz, MC Herd Group of Companies plus others.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Fleet Controller.  

In addition, you will also require:

• A good working knowledge of compliance, safety and driver fatigue management requirements
• Intermediate Microsoft and IT skills, in particular Excel
• Excellent communication and organisational skills – the key to success in this role is communication and time management so you will need both!

If you have previous experience in Refrigerated Transport this would be highly regarded, but not absolutely essential.

This business is offering an annual salary of $90,000 + superannuation which is well above market rates, along with easy to access location (Truganina / Hoppers Crossing) with onsite parking in a state of the art facility that was built in 2019.
