ABOUT THE COMPANYOur client is a respected trades-based engineering business with more than 80 staff and an established presence across the commercial, industrial, sport & recreation, and food manufacturing sectors.
The business has been operating successfully for decades and has built a reputation for quality workmanship, long-term client relationships, and a practical, down-to-earth culture. Many employees have remained with the company for decades, which speaks for itself.
WHAT’S ON OFFER?
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly established and well-run business in a senior and trusted Office Manager position.
You will work closely with the Directors and become an integral part of the day-to-day operation of the business, with broad exposure across administration, operations, staff coordination, and executive support.
The role offers genuine variety and autonomy and would suit someone who enjoys being relied upon, taking ownership of responsibilities, and playing an important role within a busy and collaborative environment.
Importantly, the role also offers exposure beyond the core business itself. The Directors are highly entrepreneurial and involved in a number of additional business interests and entities, providing the successful person with the opportunity to work across a broader business landscape and be involved in a diverse range of projects and operations.
A salary package of circa $100,000 + superannuation is on offer, negotiable for the right person.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a full-time, office-based role located in Sunshine.
The position is broad and hands-on, incorporating office administration, operational coordination, onboarding and staff support, fleet and telecommunications coordination, OH&S administration, IT coordination, and executive assistance to the Directors.
You will oversee the smooth running of the office while also supporting wider business operations, coordinating schedules and travel, assisting with onboarding and inductions, maintaining records and documentation, liaising with external providers, and providing general administrative support across the organisation.
The role requires someone capable of managing a varied workload, shifting priorities, and a broad range of responsibilities with professionalism and initiative.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You will bring significant previous experience in a similar Office Manager or senior administration role and be someone who is proactive, highly organised, and capable of working independently.
The successful person will be confident managing competing priorities, supporting a range of stakeholders, and maintaining strong attention to detail across a busy and varied role.
Previous exposure to trades, engineering, construction, or building services environments would be highly regarded.
