Our client, a thriving poultry farm in Anakie, Victoria, offers a unique opportunity to join their dynamic team. With a network of farms across two locations, our client is responsible for raising close to 20 million birds per annum.
  
At the forefront of poultry farming excellence, our client operates state-of-the-art facilities featuring DACS heating and ventilation systems, modern housing, and cutting-edge technology.
  
To meet this growing demand, our client requires an Assistant Farm Manager to run the day-to-day operations, to ensure that optimum living and welfare conditions for poultry livestock are maintained.  
  
KEY ACTIVITIES
  
Responsibilities will include:  
  • Assisting with the day-to-day operations.
  • Monitoring of shed environment for good bird welfare and performance
  • Daily operational reporting
  • Addressing general maintenance issues as they arise
  • Supervising and leading a team of Farm Hands
  • Responding promptly to farm alarms  
  
WHAT’S OF OFFER:
  
This role will suit a hardworking individual who would like to step into an Assistant Manager position.
  
The business is well established and currently employs several Farm Managers and Assistant Farm Managers who can teach, train and mentor you, meaning you will be fully supported whilst you transition into this role.
  
Additionally, our client also offers a range of employee benefits including:  
  • Salary package $75,000 to $80,000 + superannuation
  • Fully maintained vehicle
  • Onsite accommodation - with all utilities (gas, water and power)  
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  
In order to be successful in this role you will require:  
  • Must have had experience in agriculture
  • Experience in the use of farming machinery including tractors, bobcat and telehandlers is highly desirable.
  • Basic admin and computer skills using word and excel.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Physically fit
  • Full Australian working rights
