THE COMPANY:

This successful civil construction company has a 30-year history delivering civil works across a range of project types including site preparation & bulk earthworks, residential & commercial subdivisions, road construction, drainage and sewer & water mains.   


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Aside from having strong communication and interpersonal skills, we also need a Project Manager with the following experience and qualifications: 

  • Engineering or similar professional tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Civil Construction
  • Ability to read and create drawings / plans, reports, engineering documents and specifications
  • Excellent organisational, planning, scheduling and time management skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
PROJECTS: 

This business undertakes a range of bulk earthworks, drainage, sewerage and civils work on large residential and industrial subdivisions. With a team of approx. 45 staff and a fleet of trucks, tippers, backhoes, rollers and soil compactors you will be working on some of the largest projects in and around the Geelong region.
One of the first (and largest) projects due to commence is a sewer pump station, therefore candidates with recent water and sewer experience are encouraged to apply. 
Other projects include a new residential estate under development in Torquay as well as a range of other civils projects. 


WHAT ARE YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?

As a Project Manager you will spend approximately 25% of your time on site and 75% in the office and will oversee and project manage a range of civil projects across the Geelong and Barwon area.
You will also be responsible for:
  • Planning and overseeing a specific project/s from beginning to end
  • Managing costs, pricing and scheduling and coordinating resources, labour and materials
  • Attending site meetings
  • Respond to work delays and other problems and emergencies
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  • Complying with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations
  • Ensuring & prioritizing OHS&E and Quality documentation are conducted as required, including updating ITPs
BENEFITS: 

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $110,000 –140,000 + super. Also on offer is a fully maintained company vehicle + phone.
