OUR CLIENT:
Our client is a successful Building Surveying firm based in Richmond. They undertake a range of building inspections and consulting services to ensure that the buildings we inhabit are safe, accessible and energy efficient.

This is a very professional firm that works closely with range of clients such as architects, engineers, project managers, building inspectors, councils and other regulatory bodies.

We have worked with this business for many years and over that time have watched them grow into the successful company they are today. With a strong reputation in their field, this role will offer one lucky candidate, the opportunity to join a well-regarded and exciting company, that still has lots of growing to do.  


THE ROLE:
Our client is getting busier each year and in light of that you will have the opportunity to ‘weave’ yourself into all parts of the business and help to improve and shape the business as it continues to grow.

The duties will involve all things administrative in nature including the day-to-day operational admin, office management, accounts, HR admin, dealing with councils, scheduling building inspections, applying for permits and a range of other administration tasks that are essential to the smooth running of the company. 

If you love to be the ‘office, go to person’ and want a role with lots of variety, where your skills will be valued, then this role will tick a lot of boxes.


WHAT SKILLS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
In order to be successful in this role you will the following skills:

  • IT skills - You will be using a range of programs, so you will need to be an advanced IT user. Advanced Microsoft Skills and a typing speed on 60 wpm or more.
  • Outstanding organisational skills – This role is administrative and operational in nature so you will need to be someone who can juggle multiple tasks and projects at once, have the ability to prioritise, be organised and manage time effectively. High attention to detail is also a must!
  • Amazing interpersonal skills – You will be dealing with a range of clients and building professionals so you will need the confidence to ask questions, father information, solve problems and build relationships.
In addition to the above skills, you will require a minimum of 12 months in an admin role as a PA, Office Coordinator or Office Administration, ideally from within the construction, property, building, trades, engineering, architecture or professional services industries.

Certificate II Business Administration is highly desirable.
You must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
